With a wide building and engineering background and problem solving expertise, David Murray can assess your structural or building problem and provide recommendations. David is a qualified engineer and has been in full time professional practice since 1973. He is a Fellow of and a past President of the Association of Building Consultants.
Where appropriate, equipment such as electronic moisture meters, thermal scanners, contact microphones, precision measuring equipment, high powered survey lighting, electronic & line laser beam level measurement systems and other specialized testing equipment may be used, coupled with practical engineering experience.
We maintain an electronic library of up to date versions of Australian Standards referenced under the Australian Building Code as well as a library of other specific South Australian building requirements. This electronic library is available for ready reference if required, both on-site and at our Office.
Some of the more common types of problems assessed are:

Fees
Fees are based on a charge-out rate of A$200 per hour plus GST for inspection, report writing & consultation time, and for any time associated with builder liaison. There is a minimum charge of A$350* plus GST per site visit. Travel is not charged for if the site is within 30 minutes travel time from our base - travel charges may apply elsewhere.
* A surcharge applies for inspections on weekends, public holidays & after normal working hours.
